1.Dominic Philip Lino
is a passionate and dedicated educator committed to nurturing students’ growth and fostering a lifelong love of learning. Growing up in Kakuma Refugee Camp, he completed his high school education there and went on to become a teacher, turning his own experience of displacement into a source of strength and empathy for his students. He believes that education is a powerful tool for transformation and strives to use it to build a more innovative and hopeful world. Through creative teaching methods, encouragement, and student-centered approaches, he inspires learners to think critically, explore new ideas, and confidently embrace their potential.
Originally from South Sudan, Dominic currently resides in Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya, a context that has deepened his understanding of resilience, diversity, and the vital role education plays in communities facing hardship. Working daily with refugee students and families, he has seen firsthand how access to quality education can restore dignity and open new possibilities. He completed his primary education with the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and went on to earn the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), experiences that shaped his commitment to academic excellence and mentoring young people.
With three years of teaching experience, Dominic has developed strong skills in classroom management, lesson planning, personalized instruction, and mentoring youth with practical, employable skills. He is deeply committed to helping students achieve academic success while nurturing creativity, innovation, and independent thinking. Whether working with students individually or in groups, he strives to create inclusive, supportive learning environments where every learner feels seen, valued, and capable. Driven by his passion for education and innovation, Dominic aims to empower students to make meaningful contributions to their communities and the world at large, serving as a role model of hope, perseverance, and positive change.
2.Rose Naboi
is a compassionate and dedicated Program Coordinator committed to empowering women and girls through education, mentorship, and community-led initiatives. She is a gender advocate, climate activist, social entrepreneur, researcher, and proud feminist whose work centers the voices and experiences of those most often pushed to the margins.
A self-motivated and principled leader, Rose works tirelessly toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by creating pathways for refugee women to thrive. She supports women to become more confident, independent, and economically stable through livelihood opportunities, skills-building, and advocacy against sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). She also engages communities on issues such as sexually transmitted infections and HIV treatment and prevention, substance use and addiction, harmful alcohol consumption, early and forced marriage, crime, and exploitation, always striving to replace harmful norms with dignity, safety, and possibility.
Passionate about creating safe spaces and expanding opportunities, Rose is committed to turning challenges into sustainable impact. She believes in the power of community, collective healing, and shared leadership, and focuses her efforts on nurturing strong women and girl leaders in underserved communities. By engaging them in creative arts and music, digital skills acquisition, education, sports, games, and athletics, Rose continues to build a future where women and girls are not only protected, but fully supported to lead, innovate, and shape the world around them.
